"I was the Installation Manager of the equipment for the Calgary, Alberta Material Recycling Facility. This effort required the erection of pre-fabricated and site fabricated components and equipment.
This is a very complex installation, requiring many, many man hours of skilled craftsman, mill-wrights, iron workers, electricians, riggers and crane capacities of many different ranges.
Early in the project I had to interview and select a local crane service vendor. I interviewed five local companies and we selected Dave’s Crane Service, of Calgary, Alberta. We had a tight time line of receiving 105 truck loads of equipment and unloading to install and operation. We received the first loads in December of 2008 and we were operational by April of 2009. Dave’s Crane Service was instrumental in helping meet the customer deadlines.
I am very happy that is the decision I made. Dave has capacities to fit all needs and in the very rare case we needed something bigger, he has the connections to make it happen.
Dave and his co-operator Paul were wonderful to work with. They both have many years of valuable experience, and work well with the demands of heavy equipment setting and erection. They responded when we needed them and safety of personnel and integrity of operation are the forefront of Dave’s business.
